Itinerary

Day 1. Islamabad

Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2. Islamabad → Chilas (via Karakoram Highway/Naran)

Depart early for a scenic drive along the legendary Karakoram Highway (KKH). Travel through lush hills, river valleys and mountain passes. Lunch en route at Besham or Dassu.
Arrive in Chilas by evening.
Overnight: Chilas Hotel

Day 3. Chilas → Raikot Bridge → Fairy Meadows

After breakfast, drive to Raikot Bridge. Switch to local 4×4 jeeps for the thrilling mountain road to Tato Village (2,700m). From there, trek 2–3 hours to reach Fairy Meadows (3,300m)  one of the most beautiful alpine plateaus in the world with breathtaking views of Nanga Parbat (8,126m).
Overnight: Wooden Cottages / Camps at Fairy Meadows

Day 4. Explore Fairy Meadows

Spend a full day soaking in the magnificent scenery. Optional trek to Bayal Camp or Nanga Parbat Base Camp (3,900m) for adventure enthusiasts.
Relax in the evening with a bonfire under a star-studded sky.
Overnight: Fairy Meadows

Day 5. Fairy Meadows → Raikot → Hunza Valley

After breakfast, descend to Tato Village and jeep back to Raikot Bridge. Continue driving along the Karakoram Highway towards Hunza Valley.
Stop at Rakaposhi View Point and Nanga Parbat View Point before reaching Karimabad Hunza  by evening.
Overnight: Karimabad Hunza

Day 6. Explore Hunza Valley

Today explore the heart of Hunza Valley:

  • Visit Baltit Fort & Altit Fort
  • Walk through the old Hunza village lanes and fruit orchards

Day 7. Excursion to Hopper Valley Nagar

Drive to Hopper Valley, located across the Hunza River. Witness the magnificent Hopper Glacier, with views of Spantik (Golden Peak) and Ultar Sar.
Return to Karimabad in the evening.

Day 8. Hunza → Upper Hunza (Shishkat / Gulmit)

Continue along the upper section of the Karakoram Highway toward Gojal (Upper Hunza).
Stops include:

  • Attabad Lake – enjoy a boat ride on turquoise waters

Shishkat and Gulmit villages
Arrive and check in to your guesthouse or lodge surrounded by snow-capped peaks.

Day 9. Borith Lake, Hussaini Suspension Bridge & White Glacier Trek

Morning excursion to Borith Lake, followed by a guided trek to the Passu White Glacier.
Cross the adventurous Hussaini Suspension Bridge, famous for its dramatic scenery.
Return to Gulmit in the evening.
Overnight: Gulmit/Shishkat

Day 10. Explore Ghulkin, Gulmit & Passu Villages

Spend the day exploring the traditional villages of Ghulkin, Gulmit, and Passu.
Visit local homes, meet friendly Wakhi people, and capture iconic views of the Passu Cones and Batura Glacier.
Overnight: Gulmit/Shishkat

Day 11. Khunjerav Pass Excursion – Return to Shishkat / Gulmit

Drive towards the Khunjerab Pass (4,693m)  the world’s highest paved border crossing between Pakistan and China.
Enjoy stunning mountain landscapes, wildlife sightings (ibex, marmots) and photo stops.
Return to Shishkat / Gulmit by evening.

Day 12. Shishkat / Gulmit → Deosai National Park

Early morning drive south toward Deosai National Park (via Gilgit–Skardu route).
Known as the Land of Giants, Deosai is the second-highest plateau on Earth, rich in wildlife and alpine flowers.
Overnight: Deosai Camping Site

Day 13. Deosai → Skardu

Explore Deosai’s meadows and lakes before continuing to Skardu.
Evening leisure at Lower Kachura Lake (Shangrila Resort).

Day 14. Skardu → Khaplu Valley

After breakfast, drive to Khaplu — one of Baltistan’s most picturesque valleys.
Visit Khaplu Fort, Chaqchan Mosque, and stroll through traditional Balti villages.

Day 15. Khaplu → Shigar Valley

Drive back toward Skardu with a stop at Shigar Valley, famous for Shigar Fort (The Gateway to K2) and its serene landscapes.
Explore local culture and enjoy a relaxed afternoon.

Day 16. Shigar → Skardu
