Additional Information

  • Altitude: Hunting areas in Astore are typically 3,000–4,000+ meters above sea level. Proper acclimatization and physical fitness are essential.

  • Climate: Expect cold mornings/evenings (–5°C to –15°C) in winter months and milder daytime temperatures. Weather is unpredictable snow, wind and rain possible anytime.

  • Hunt Style: Spot and stalk with extensive glassing. Hunters should be ready for long hikes on steep terrain.

  • Health & Insurance: Comprehensive travel & medical insurance covering evacuation is mandatory. Carry any personal medications.

  • Firearms & Ammunition: Hunters may import rifles with prior permit or request rental rifles from the outfitter. Recommended caliber: .300 Win Mag, .338, or similar for long range mountain shots.

  • Communication: Satellite phones and radios are available in camp. Cellular service may be limited or absent in hunting valleys.
